Even in the fascinating world of broadcast media, TV news anchors have bad speech days!
A recently released news blooper pokes fun at one BBC anchorman who - dependent upon the script that streams before him for accuracy - correctly read the news headline that was written for him.
Unfortunately the sentence lacked punctuation, creating for Jonathan Charles a rather embarrassing introduction. One in which he is self-described as someone who was kept in captivity and forced to bare children.
The headline, of course, belonged to a story about Jaycee Lee Dugard who was in fact kidnapped at an early age, help captive and forced to bare children by her captor.
If you've got a moment and want to enjoy a pretty funny TV news moment, then check out the video. It's priceless!
I'm sure that even the anchor laughed at some point (when off air!).
